Chapters

The chapters of the text are arranged as follows:

Chapter 1  is an introduction and exploration of both the physical and human geography of the state. Physical geography (Earth Science) is the focus of Chapters 2 through 6.   Chapters 7 to 11 detail the complex and diverse human interactions and influences to be found in the Golden State.

We conclude with Chapter 12, where we apply the information and concepts in the preceding chapters for practical application to real problems affecting California and the world.
